How does it work?
Lasers can target the dark pigment in hair follicles and so selectively heat and destroy the dark pigment (melatonin) in the hair shaft so reducing its ability to grow. Several treatments can produce a marked reduction in hair growth. The lasers do not heat the surrounding skin only the dark matter to be destroyed, so large areas can be treated effectively and relatively fast. Which woman can have laser hair removal?
Because the laser treatment works by selectively scanning an area of skin and picking out the darker areas, women with dark skin may not find this treatment available for them. Even having a suntan may make the procedure impossible for you. The laser process works best on light skin and dark hairs, so if the hair you want removed is light or fair colored, then this method may not be the right method for you. Woman with fair hair can use electrolysis for permanent removal. This method for woman with dark skin or fair hair is possible using the latest lasers, but is not always so effective as on dark hair growth. Women who want to remove light or gray hair can use a method called intense pulsed light, this uses a broad spectrum of non laser light.
Types Of Lasers

How many treatments
Women generally require AT LEAST 3 sessions before the hair stops growing. You may require 6 or more treatments so take this into account when working out the cost. The results accumulate as not all hair is destroyed first time, people who have waxed or plucked alot previously usually require more treatment than those who have not.
